#Kick4Hope
Join us this year as we bring World Cup energy to our #Kick4Hope fundraiser. Inspired by the spirit of teamwork and global connection, our patients, families, and supporters will take part in a soccer ball passing challenge, nominating friends and loved ones to keep the ball moving and the community growing. The team that keeps the chain going the longest will win a special prize: a one-of-a-kind soccer ball featuring our patients’ handprints.
Every pass, every nomination, and every donation makes a difference. Your support helps fund critical research into rare pediatric movement disorders at Boston Children’s Hospital, bringing us closer to better treatments and brighter futures for the children and families we serve.
Living with HSP
Living with Hereditary Spastic Paraplegia (HSP) means navigating a world where movement doesn’t come easily. For children with HSP, everyday activities – walking, playing, or keeping balance – can require extra effort, patience, and support. Progressive stiffness in the legs can make mobility increasingly challenging over time, often affecting independence and confidence.
Beyond the physical symptoms, HSP shapes daily routines, family life, and long-term planning. Yet, many children and families show remarkable resilience, adapting in creative ways and finding joy despite limitations. Ongoing research continues to bring hope, advancing our understanding of HSP and opening the door to better treatments and improved quality of life.
